A concerted effort to preserve our heritage is a vital link to our cultural, educational, aesthetic, inspirational, and economic legacies – all of the things that quite literally make us who we are.

These events are supported in no small part by the adult and youth volunteers of the National Park Service Volunteers-in-Parks program. They share information about the nature, origin and purpose of historical, natural and / or cultural elements along the Blue Ridge Parkway in a festive and family-oriented environment.
