The Blue Ridge Parkway is one of the most traveled parks in the United States and the Roanoke Valley is the largest metropolitan city that connects with it. The Roanoke Chapter of Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway is committed to maintaining trails, providing manpower and resources to assist the National Park Service in a time when funds are being drastically reduced.
Will you help by going to the Roanoke Valley Gives page to donate this Wednesday, March 15, or by scheduling your donation today for the Friends of the Blue Ridge Parkway?
The funds raised will be used to help the FBRP Roanoke Chapter accomplish the work plan projects the National Park Service has approved between Mile markers 100 – 150. It will support the volunteer teams that maintain the trails, host Alternative Break groups, do community outreach and more to build the volunteer base that will preserve promote and protect the Blue Ridge Parkway that runs through “our neck of the woods.” Donations can be as small as $10- any amount helps!
