It’s the 30th Anniversary of Music on the Mountain!

Soak in the mountains with some old time music! The 2017 Music on the Mountain Sunday evening programs begins, this Sunday, May 28 at 7:00 pm. Vote Barbara Duerk for 2017 Cox Conserves Hero!

We need your vote! This year, dedicated Roanoke Valley Chapter member Barbara Duerk has been nominated as a finalist in the Virginia Cox Conserves Heroes recognition program. Barb is an active volunteer from FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway Roanoke Valley Chapter and is one of three finalists for this award. Wildflowers of the Blue Ridge

  The Roanoke Valley Chapter of FRIENDS will be hosting a free presentation by the Virginia Cooperative Extension and Roanoke Masters Gardeners on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 5:30 pm, at the Raleigh Court Library. Barbara Leach of Virginia Cooperative Extension and Ellen Holtman of Roanoke Master Gardeners will share beautiful photos and information about the Blue Ridge environment, including topography, soil, pH, elevation and types of trees. Sunday Afternoon Concert Series Resumes at Humpback Rocks

Soak in the mountains with some old time music! The Sunday Afternoon Concert Series at Humpback Rocks will resume on May 28, 2017.
