organization that is dedicated to preserving, promoting and enhancing the
Blue Ridge Parkway, a national treasure.

FRIENDS of the Blue Ridge Parkway's (FRIENDS) success has been achieved through the loyalty and financial support of corporate, business and individual members and volunteers - like you! We have consistently invested 90 cents of every dollar directly into programs to benefit the Blue Ridge Parkway.
We are an official National Park Service Blue Ridge Parkway 501(c)(3) membership organization for visitors to the Blue Ridge Parkway. Today our membership is over 8,500 and continues to grow.
This website is dedicated to educating you about FRIENDS' programs and projects, recruiting volunteers and providing you with Parkway information, events and press releases. It is our hope that by learning more about our work, programs and mission, you will join in our efforts to ensure the future of one of our greatest national treasures, the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Local artist, Janet Wimmer, paints one Parkway-themed painting a day & donates portion of proceeds to FRIENDS.
75th Anniversary Volunteers Needed
Volunteer workers are needed to help the Parkway and its anniversary foundation, 75th Inc. They need volunteers to help prepare for events along the Parkway, serve as ambassadors at officially sanctioned 75th anniversary events in local communities, serve at events and concerts related to the 75th anniversary and to perform clerical duties.
Volunteers should enjoy working with the general public, be flexible, accommodating, and interested in Parkway history. If you are interested in supporting the Parkway during this once in a lifetime event, please let us know by sending an email to staff@friendsbrp.org.
